Salsa Grand is intentionally different from large summer festivals. Everything takes place inside the elegant Sheraton Zagreb Hotel, so workshops, parties, social dancing and accommodation are all under one roof.
Instead of running between venues, you can simply focus on dancing, meeting people and enjoying the weekend. Combined with the magical atmosphere of Zagreb during Advent, it creates a very different experience from a typical salsa congress.
One of the biggest advantages of Salsa Grand is that everything happens in one place. Workshops, parties, accommodation, restaurants, bars and social areas are all located inside the Sheraton Zagreb Hotel. You don't have to commute across the city or worry about transportation - just step out of your room and you're already part of the festival.
Absolutely. Salsa Grand has a strong Salsa On2 & Mambo identity while also welcoming Salsa On1 dancers. The festival brings together world-class artists, experienced international social dancers and carefully selected DJs who create an exceptional social dancing experience throughout the weekend.
Yes. Salsa Grand takes place during the opening weekend of Zagreb Advent, one of Europe's best-known Christmas markets. It's a great opportunity to combine a premium salsa weekend with sightseeing, excellent food and the unique atmosphere of Zagreb during the Christmas season.
Definitely. Many participants travel solo and quickly become part of the community. Since everyone stays, dances and spends time together in the same hotel, it's very easy to meet new people, find dance partners and enjoy the festival from the very first day.
Many dancers who discover Croatia through the Croatian Summer Salsa Festival meet again a few months later at Salsa Grand. While CSSF is all about summer, the seaside and a full festival week, Salsa Grand offers a different experience - a more intimate winter weekend focused on salsa, mambo, social dancing and the magical atmosphere of Zagreb during Advent.
